Imminence
My hands are old today.
StrangeThey weren't old yesterday.
Now they have
loose, criss-crossed
skin, dry and thin.
Even the undersides are etched,
fine lines, marking time.
If age leaps on like a random sneak,
what withers next? My tongue in cheek?
